60 Stalls At Kalideres Market, West Jakarta Sold Out On Fire
JAKARTA - A total of 60 stalls at Kalideres Market, Jalan Peta Selatan, RW 01 Kalideres, West Jakarta, were burned down. The cause is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.
Launching Antara, Sunday, October 24, the firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by deploying 13 fire engines. There were no casualties in the fire, according to a written statement on the Twitter account @TMCPoldaMetro.
Based on the information gathered, the fire was first reported at 2:45 pm. The fire emerged from the front stall and spread all the way to the back.
A total of 65 officers from the Fire and Rescue Agency (Sudin Gilkarmat) who deployed 13 fire engines, managed to extinguish the fire at 16.55 WIB. The total loss from the incident is not yet known.
As a result of the fire incident, traffic flow around the location was observed to be congested.
