Bodies In BKT Wrapped In White Cloth Of Murder Victims, 12 Hours After The Perpetrator Arrested
JAKARTA - The body of a man wrapped in a white cloth on the banks of the East Flood Canal (BKT) was found by a resident of Cilincing, North Jakarta, who was a murder victim.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Guruh Arif Darmawan, said his members immediately arrested the murder suspect within 12 hours after the discovery of the body on Saturday, October 23 at 09.30 WIB.
"We confirm that yesterday at 09.30 WIB our members found the body in a white package that we found at the East Flood Canal. 12 hours later, we have arrested the perpetrator (suspect)," said Guruh in a video recording received by journalists in Jakarta. North, reported by Antara, Sunday, October 24.
Guruh said that five people were currently named suspects and at this time, the case had been transferred to the Sub-Directorate of Motor Vehicles (Ranmor) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police for further investigation.
However, Guruh has not disclosed in detail the identity of the suspect or evidence that was secured by the investigators of the case as well as the detailed chronology of the incident. documents and other forms of crime against motorized vehicle objects which due to their nature, quality, intensity and impact need to be resolved at the Polda level.
The body, wrapped in cloth and plastic, was first discovered by officers from the Cilincing District Water Agency while cleaning up trash on the banks of the BKT river, in Rorotan, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Saturday, October 23.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police Sector who received the report immediately rushed to the location where the body was found to assist in checking and transporting the body to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta for further investigation.
