Building Collapses In Kalideres, Dozens Of Gulkarmat Officers Evacuate One Critical Victim

JAKARTA - Dozens of officers from the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) managed to evacuate a resident who was crushed by the rubble of a house on Jalan Satu Maret, RT 01/03, Pegadungan Village, Kalideres District, West Jakarta.

The incident occurred at around 21.46 WIB, and was then reported by residents to the Gulkarmat officer in the Cengkareng sector.

"There were residents who came to the Cengkareng sector post. Then we sent a team of 30 personnel to carry out the evacuation," he said, Head of Operations for the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Suket, told reporters on Saturday, October 23, evening.

Officers arrived at the location around 22.00 WIB. Then officers began to evacuate the ruins of the house. Based on information, there is a resident trapped in the rubble of the building.

"In the evacuation process, the victim was found in a critical condition. The victim was evacuated and medical treatment was carried out," he said.

Until this news was written, the identity of the victims of the ruins of the building was not known. Meanwhile, West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officers are still handling it.
