Minister Risma Distributes Tablets To Students Living In The Ex-Dolly . Localization
JAKARTA – Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini provided assistance with 105 tablets to underprivileged students or children living in the former Dolly localization, Surabaya City, East Java. The gift was to encourage students to continue their education, especially at SMPN 10 Surabaya.
"I prioritize and prioritize children from the former Dolly localization area to get social assistance," said Social Minister Risma, when handing over the tablets, quoted Saturday, October 23.
Currently, many children from the former Dolly localization area and its surroundings, such as Distance, Putat, and Girilaya, attend SMPN 10 Surabaya.
He said that the social conditions of children who grew and developed in the former Dolly localization area were different from other areas.
Risma likens, if in other areas children start their life from zero point, the children from the former Dolly localization area start life from a minus point. Of course, it is not easy to grow their optimism in the field of education.
"They need touch and support for them to have confidence and enthusiasm to be successful," he said.
In front of the students of SMPN 10, the Minister of Social Affairs also spurred their enthusiasm to study hard, enthusiastic and confident that they could succeed.
One of the students who received the help of a tablet, Natasya Bunga Pratama, expressed her gratitude to Social Minister Risma for the assistance of this sophisticated communication tool.
For him, getting this tablet was like a dream. The 9th grade student, a resident of Girilaya Village, who only lives with his mother, admitted that all this time, when studying online, he had to take turns using his mother's cell phone.
He also felt sorry for his mother because he had worked hard alone to earn a living for the family. Therefore, he was unable to ask his mother for a new cellphone.
"Alhamdulillah, now I get help from Mrs. Risma, this really helps me to learn and new encouragement for me to keep learning," said Natasya.
