JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kemayoran Police is still investigating the case of robbery and murder that killed Mita Nurkhasanah (22) an employee of the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) on Jalan Angkasa, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Police are still collecting CCTV footage to chase down the sadistic robbers. "We've checked the CCTV, but the image is not clear because it's blocked by trees," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kemayoran Police, Iptu I Putu Novi Chandra Kurniawan when confirmed, Saturday, October 23.
In addition to CCTV, the police continue to collect a number of witnesses at the crime scene and around the crime scene to ask for information related to the incident. "We are still digging for witnesses who are at the location. We are still in the investigation stage of this case," he said.
Meanwhile, the body of Mita Nurkhasanah (22) a victim of the robbery on Jalan Angkasa has been brought to her hometown. He was buried in Indramayu, Central Java on Friday, October 22, evening.
Confirmed separately, Head of Basarnas Marsdya TNI Henri Alfiandi said his party strongly condemns the incident that claimed the lives of its employees.
"We strongly condemn the heinous acts of the perpetrators and hope that the police can arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible to account for their barbarity according to the applicable law," said Henri.
It was later discovered that Mita was a non-civil servant government employee (PPNPN) or an honorary employee at Basarnas. Mita only worked in June 2021 or about 5 months.
While working at Basarnas, said Henri, Mita served as the operator of Call Center 115 or Emergency Call Basarnas. Henri also regretted the incident and offered his condolences to the victim's family.
