Mataram Police Intervened To Investigate Allegations Of Cuts In Funds For Earthquake-resistant Housing Assistance

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit Team of the Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara, investigated the alleged deduction of the 2018 earthquake-resistant housing assistance (RTG) fund in Buwun Sejati Village, West Lombok Regency.

"We are conducting our investigation by asking for clarification from parties who know and are involved in the distribution of the funds," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mataram Police, Kompol Kadek Adi Budi Astawa, in Mataram, Friday, October 22.

Kadek Adi confirmed that this was the first step in his investigation. How about the distribution mechanism is the basis for their investigation.

"Therefore, it is the facilitator who knows about the mechanism, which we will clarify at this early stage," he said.

In addition to the facilitator, clarification was also made to third parties. This means that the police will ask for information from the building materials business manager based in Kuripan, West Lombok Regency, with the initials ZL.

The handling of the alleged deduction of RTG funds started with the submission of the aspirations of the people of Buwun Sejati. Community groups (pokmas) feel that they have never appointed ZL's shop as a supplier of building materials to repair houses affected by the earthquake.

Even the members of Pokmas were offered financial assistance by ZL with a value of Rp. 6 million, lower than the value that should have been obtained, which was Rp. 10 million. If they refuse, the community will be given assistance in the form of building materials.
