How Can It Be, A Man In Banyuasin Kills His Wife And Child Using A Gas Cylinder

JAKARTA - The man with the initials RA (34) in Banyuasin, South Sumatra, has the heart to kill his wife and child. The perpetrator killed his victim using a gas cylinder.

"The suspect has been secured," said Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Supriadi when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 27.

The murder incident was reported to have occurred at around 01.00 WIB, early this morning in Taja Mulya Village, Banyuasin. RA killed his wife Yuti Kontesa (30) and their son Rajata Baikal (3).

After killing his wife and child, the suspect attempted to hang himself. According to the police, the suspect asked his neighbor for help.

“The suspect was ransacking his house for help with his mouth bleeding and his neck tied by a rope. Witness Andra then escorted the suspect to the midwife's house, ”continued Supriadi.

On the way to the midwife, the suspect, according to the victim's neighbor — who was a witness — said he was in family trouble. "And wanted to kill himself," continued Supriadi.

With this information, the perpetrator's neighbors came to the victim's house and found Yuti and her child dead with head injuries

"The two victims were killed by being beaten with an LPG gas cylinder which was strengthened by finding a 3 kg LPG gas cylinder beside the victim and the victim suffered a head injury," said Supriadi.

Police said the suspect had been rehabilitated for drug addiction and dismissed from his job because of the impact of COVID-19.

"The suspect is suspected of having depression," he continued.
