JCI Closed On Monday, 0.66 Percent Higher To 5,116.67 Levels

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed higher in early trading week. Monday, July 27, JCI closed up 0.66 percent or 33.68 points to 5,116.67 levels.

Closing the trade, 190 stocks rose, 207 stocks fell, and 190 stocks remained stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 13.45 billion shares and transacted for IDR 7.25 trillion.

The benchmark index was mostly higher. The LQ45 index strengthened 0.74 percent, IDX30 rose 0.73 percent, and IDXBUMN20 appreciated 1.11 percent.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama said, the strengthening of the JCI was caused by market players who appreciated the increase in world gold prices.

"Market participants also positively welcome the new normal era," Nafan told VOI.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME) which rose 34.85 percent to IDR89, PT J Resources Tbk (PSAB) which rose 19.47 percent to IDR270, and PT Wilton Makmur Indonesia Tbk (SQMI) which strengthened 11.34 percent to IDR216.

Meanwhile, stocks in the top losers ranks, including PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) which fell 6.93 percent to IDR 2,550, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) which fell 6.81 percent to IDR 1,095. and PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) which fell 5.63 percent to Rp670.
