Police Examined Quarantine Escape Case, Rachel Vennya Asked 35 Questions

JAKARTA - Rachel Vennya was questioned with her boyfriend Salim Nauderer until almost midnight at Polda Metro Jaya. There were 35 questions from the police addressed to Rachel Vennya who became the focus of the case because of the case of escaping quarantine from Wisma Atlet Pademangan.

"Okay, so the examination parallels. Rachel herself has 35 questions. As previously Rachel stated that our clients are committed to getting things done quickly too. We are grateful, thank God, that the police are both professionals in carrying out this investigation,” Rachel Vennya's lawyer, Indra Raharja, told reporters, Thursday, October 21.

But Rachel Vennya's lawyer declined to reveal the contents of the police question. What is certain is that his client was asked about the chronology of the case of escaping quarantine from the Wisma Atlet.

"I will not present the rest of the material here, but Rachel has conveyed things that are elementary and fundamental to the police," said Indra.

Rachel Vennya is known to have run away while undergoing quarantine at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) after a vacation from abroad.

Kodam Jaya as the Command of the COVID-19 Integrated Joint Task Force delegated the case of Rachel Vennya's escape to the Police.

During the investigation process by the Jaya Regional Military Command, it was found that an individual member of the TNI who served in the Security Task Force at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, allegedly arranged for the Rachel Vennya program to escape quarantine after returning from abroad.

Meanwhile, Kapendam Jaya Colonel Arh Herwin BS stated that two TNI personnel were involved in the escape of Rachel Vennya from Wisma Atlet. Both are members of the Joint Integrated Task Force.

"Yesterday's investigation was deepening. Indeed, there were two individuals who worked together," said Herwin to reporters, Thursday, October 21.

The two individuals had the initials FS and IG. Both come from different entities. Where, they served at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Wisma Atlet Pademangan.

"The airport task force came from Koops AU Satu (FS). Then the one in Pademangan came from Wing Satu Paskhas (IG)," said Herwin.

Currently, the two TNI personnel have been returned to their respective units. Both will be questioned by the Military Police regarding their involvement in the Rachel Vennya case.

"Later, they will be examined by the Military Police in their original unit," said Herwin.
