There Is A Bug, Instagram Can Access Camera On IOS 14 Secretly
JAKARTA - Many Apple users have reported privacy issues from a number of applications installed on their devices, especially after updating the iOS 14 Beta version. This time, Instagram is known to be able to secretly access the camera on iOS devices.
Launching The Verge, a number of iOS 14 Beta users reported the camera indicator on their device which is always active when running the Instagram application. Even though it should be, the camera function will only turn on when the user makes Instagram Stories or uploads photos taken by the camera.

Netizens who are worried about their privacy regretted that the Instagram application which remains active can secretly take pictures or record videos, even if it is not operated. Regarding reports of bugs or problems in this application, Instagram promises to make improvements soon.
"We only access your camera when you tell us. For example, when you swipe from Feed to Camera. We have found and are fixing a bug in iOS 14 Beta," said a spokesman for Instagram, Monday, July 27.
According to him there is a bug in the Instagram application that is wrong, running the camera on iOS 14 even though it is not operated by the user. "In this case, we do not record or access the user's camera," he added.
Previously known, there are a number of applications that are known to record the activity of Apple users after updating the iOS 14 Beta version. Several applications such as TikTok, LinkedIn to Reddit are known to access content on the clipboard.
Regarding this issue, TikTok's parent company ByteDance has rolled out a security update for apps installed on iOS devices. Meanwhile Reddit is working on some code fixing that causes the app to copy clipboards belonging to Apple users.
