Admits Zenit's Match Wasn't Easy, Allegri: They Often Slow Down The Game And Technically It's Not Perfect

JAKARTA - Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri admits the match against Zenit in Group H of the Champions League on Thursday morning which ended 1-0 for the Bianconeri was not easy.

"It was not an easy game because Zenit often slowed down the game and technically it wasn't perfect," Allegri told the club's official website.

Although it was a difficult match, overall Allegri considered Juventus to be performing quite well and gave him confidence ahead of the match against Inter this weekend.

Furthermore, the Italian coach said there are still aspects that need to be improved such as possession of the ball, especially when around the penalty area.

This needs to be done in order to be able to make better choices at several moments in a match and be able to control all areas of the field.

"Overall, it was a good performance that made us raise the level of attention going into Sunday's game against Inter."

"Of course there are aspects where we have to improve: we have to improve possession, especially when the ball is near the penalty area, make the best choices at certain moments of the game and always be alert when in possession of all areas of the pitch," explained Allegri.

In this match, Juventus managed to record their third win in the Champions League over Zenit with a score of 1-0 thanks to a single goal scored by Dejan Kulusevski.

This victory makes Juventus currently top of the Champions League Group H standings with a collection of 9 points from three matches, while Zenit is in third place after collecting 3 points from three matches.
