Finally, Good News Came From DKI Governor Anies About Tourist Places

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan finally gave permission to children under the age of 12 to enter tourist areas. The condition is they must be accompanied by parents who have been vaccinated.

This is stated in the attachment on page 9 of the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 1245 of 2021 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities for Coronavirus Disease 2019 which was set by Anies on October 18, 2021, and effective from October 19, 2021.

"Children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter tourist attractions that have used the PeduliLindungi application on condition that they are accompanied by their parents," Anies said in a copy of the Governor's Decree 1245/2021 received in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 20.

The government lowered the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in DKI Jakarta from level three to level two because one of them was driven by the achievement of the first dose of vaccination above 50 percent.

The decline in the PPKM level in DKI is stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 53 of 2021 concerning Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 PPKM COVID-19, which is effective from Tuesday (19/10) to November 1, 2021.

During the Level 2 PPKM COVID-19 period, the Governor of DKI Jakarta said that everyone who carried out activities in each sector/place must have been vaccinated against COVID-19, at least the first dose.

People who have been vaccinated are proven by the vaccination certificate contained in the PeduliLindungi application.

The PeduliLindungi application must also be used as a screening of all visitors and employees of public facilities, namely public areas, public parks, public tourist attractions, and other public areas.

Activities at tourist attractions are regulated to operate with a maximum operating hour at 21.00 p.m. and a maximum capacity of 25 percent and must follow the health protocols regulated by the Ministry of Health and/or related Ministries/Institutions.

The implementation of the COVID-19 health protocols in this Governor's Decree is carried out in accordance with the provisions in Governor Regulation Number 3 of 2021 concerning Implementing Regulations of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2020 concerning COVID-19 Management.

For activities in public areas and other places that can cause crowds, the enforcement of the process is regulated in Article 15, Article 16, Article 17, Article 18, Article 19, Article 33, Article 34, and Article 35 of Governor Regulation 3/2021.
