It Is Difficult To Find Out The Police Statement About The Violations Of Its Members At The Tamansari

JAKARTA - The police have examined the personnel involved in securing the evictions in the Tamansari area, Bandung, West Java. Some are even strongly suspected of being involved in acts of violence against local residents. Unfortunately, the police seemed to close the trial process against its personnel.

When met by reporters in Jakarta, the Head of Public Relations DivHumas Polri Kombes Asep Adi Saputra said there were two police officers who were suspected of committing violations. Unfortunately, Asep did not specify what the violations were. Over and over again Asep only mentions "disciplinary violations."

"The current finding is that he (two police officers) committed (actions) should not be carried out," Asep said in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 18.

In fact, when asked to explain in detail about what actions were taken, Asep was reluctant to explain and instead said that they were involved in actions that caused disappointment in the eyes of the community.

"Maybe he (two police officers) was involved in serving incidents, the community was not sympathetic. It should have been done well, but not, which resulted in disappointment," said Asep.

Although until now there is no clarity, it was said that the two police officers would serve their sentences as a reward for what they had done. It's just that, it cannot yet be stated what kind of punishment must be served. With the reason, the ethics trial process must be passed first.

It is noted that there are two sentences that can be accepted by the two police officers with the rank of Brigadier. Starting from postponing promotion to detention for several days.

"There will be trial first. We cannot predict (the sentence) because there are several types of punishment, (for example) being placed in a certain place for 21 days, postponed to promotion, of course, waiting for the results of the trial of the type of violation," said Asep.

Previously, the efforts of the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) to convert densely populated settlements in the Tamansari area into Row Houses (Rudet) resulted in rejection. The eviction of residents' settlements ended in chaos.

Residents at these locations fought back so that clashes with officers were inevitable. Thursday, December 12, was the peak of the people's anger. The police and residents were eventually involved in the throwing action.

In fact, recently it has gone viral on social media related to acts of violence committed by elements of the police during the eviction. The National Police also investigated the cause of the incident.
