Batang Kejar Industrial Area Show Year 2024

BATANG - The government continues to accelerate the construction of the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone (KIT) mega project covering an area of 4,000 hectares. The government has declared that more than half of the KIT area must be completed in 2024.

Last week, Director General of Resilience and Development of International Industrial Access (KPAII), Ministry of Industry, Doddy Widodo during a visit to KIT Ketanggan Village, Gringsing District, Batang Regency, said this development could be a magnet to attract investors, both from inside and outside. country.

"Around 108 to 2,027 hectares will be built until 2024. Not only as an attraction, but as a supply in the northern corridor between Serang Banten and Banyuwangi, East Java," Doddy explained as quoted from the Central Java Provincial Government website.

The Ministry of Industry supports the concept of KIT Batang which is integrated with labor housing, education, health services and the existence of an inter-factory supply chain. The existence of this industrial area will be a solution to investors' complaints regarding land prices and supporting facilities.

"The main investor's complaint is that land prices fluctuate after being designated an industrial area. But at KIT Batang the price of land and facilities are more competitive and able to compete with Industrial Estates (in) China," he said.

On the same occasion, the Regent of Batang, Wihaji explained that in Indonesia there are around 118 industrial estates. The Batang KIT is the 119th industrial area so that it will become a flower that bees are ready to land and produce honey. The Regent hopes for the support of various ministries with the regulations, to make KIT Batang as a driver of economic growth in the community.

"Accelerate the presence of investors, (so that) when there is investment, and there is a workforce, there is a turnover of money which will have an impact on economic growth," he said.
