A Number Of Mosques In Jayapura Hold Eid Al-Adha Prayers
JAKARTA - A number of mosques in Jayapura City will carry out the Eid al-Adha prayers which fall on July 31. The Baiturrahim Great Mosque of Jayapura, the Al Hikmah Abepura Mosque, the Baiturrahim Kotaraja Mosque, and the Al Mujtahidin Abepura Mosque have prepared place facilities for religious holidays for local Muslims.
The management of the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque in Jayapura City, Papua said that Eid al-Adha prayers were carried out by tightening the implementation of health protocols.
"Every Muslim who will pray Eid al-Adha at the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque must comply with the implementation of health protocols. During the holiday, one entrance will be opened and equipped with health protocol supervisors," said the Head of the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque Management Board Ustad Abdul Kahar Yelipelle M. He admitted that in implementing the health protocol for the Eid al-Adha prayer, the management of the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque would provide a place to wash hands, check body temperature, maintain prayer distance and the congregation must wear masks.
Meanwhile, the place for Eid al-Adha prayers, according to Abdul Kahar, will be provided in the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque room to the outside of the mosque.
Abdul Kahar Yelipelle appealed to Muslims in Jayapura City who would attend Eid al-Adha prayers 1441 H to bring their own prayer mats.
"We administrators of the Baiturrahim Grand Mosque will enforce strict health protocols, yes, we have also coordinated with the COVID-19 task force which has visited the mosque area to prepare for Eid al-Adha prayers," said the ustad, a native Papuan.
