Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi Invites Muhammadiyah Youth to Collaborate to Build the City of Heroes
JAKARTA - Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi invites Muhammadiyah Youth to collaborate with the city government in building the City of Heroes, during the First Rapimda of Muhammadiyah Youth in Surabaya, Sunday, October 17.
Eri Cahyadi said being a young man as much as possible had a contribution to the development of the city of Surabaya. Moreover, he continued, as a Muhammadiyah youth, one must be able to Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar.
"We are beneficial to the community. Imagine if the Muhammadiyah Youth in their respective regions could contribute. So there will be no more poor people, no more unemployed people, no more stunting babies in the city of Surabaya," said the mayor. For this reason, he continued, after the Rapimda I was held, his party encouraged Muhammadiyah Surabaya Youth to have programs that were beneficial to the community, such as helping people in need, helping poor people when giving birth, and so on.
"This is what is needed and must be continued in Surabaya. If all levels of society contribute, God willing, Surabaya will become a city that is Baldatun Thoyibatun waarobbun Ghofur," he said.
Therefore, he again invited the Surabaya Muhammadiyah Youth to collaborate with the city government to jointly build the City of Heroes and do good to the community.
"If you have a program, please (please) do it together. We are both creating goodness in this world. I believe with the strength of the Muhammadiyah Youth, God willing, Surabaya will become a greater city. I am waiting for their work and work programs, " he said.
