Ridwan Kamil Visits The Ciamis River Crossing Victim's House
DEPOK - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil visited the funeral home of the victim who died along the river, Muhammad Kafka, in Depok. Kafka is one of the victims who died along the river in Ciamis, West Java.
Previously, there were 11 children who died, and three of them were residents of Ciamis. The rest are outside Ciamis.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of 11 of our children in Ciamis. We miss our parents very much. Of the 11, only three are Ciamis residents, the rest are outside Ciamis. Well, there are two who died from Depok. One of them is here," said Ridwan Kamil, in Depok, Saturday, October 16.
The man who is familiarly called Kang Emil provided assistance to the victim's family in the amount of Rp. 25 million, to ease the burden on the family.
After the river crossing incident that claimed victims, Kang Emil also forbade the same activity in the future. In addition, said Kang Emil, there is already a clear standard operating procedure (SOP) from BPBD.
"Therefore, I ask BPBD to draw up SOPs on how these natural activities can be carried out while prioritizing safety and security. I ask BPBD to work with professional nature lovers so that this kind of thing doesn't happen again," he said.
The number 1 person in West Java asked that this disaster be used as a lesson because the loss of one life cannot be replaced with anything. Moreover, in this disaster the number of people who died was quite large.
"Hopefully Allah will give patience to the family," he said.
