Good News, Active Cases Of COVID-19 In North Sumatra Drop To 678 People
JAKARTA - Active cases of COVID-19 or patients who are still infected and undergoing isolation in North Sumatra Province decreased until Saturday, the remaining 678 people based on data from the Ministry of Health received in Medan.
The decline in active COVID-19 cases in North Sumatra came after recovered patients dominated compared to new cases in recent days.
Based on this data, confirmed cases in North Sumatra as of October 16, 2021, increased by 32 people, recovered cases increased by 62 people, while there were no additional confirmed cases of death.
With the development of these daily cases, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in North Sumatra became 105,511 cases, the recovery rate reached 101,964 people, while the death cases amounted to 2,869 people.
Thus, the number of active COVID-19 cases or patients who are still undergoing isolation or quarantine in the North Sumatra region is only 678 people from the previous 708 people.
Nationally, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of October 16, 2021 increased by 997 cases, bringing the accumulation to 4,234,011 cases, cases recovered from COVID-19 increased by 1,408 people, currently the total has reached 4,072,332. The number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 41 people, bringing the total to 142,933.
