Minister Of Education And Culture For Advanced Evaluation Of Mobilizing Organization Program
JAKARTA - The Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Anwar Makarim decided to carry out a further evaluation to perfect the Movement Organization Program (POP).
"The follow-up evaluation process will involve education experts from various social organizations and state institutions," said Nadiem as quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 25.
He added that further refinements and evaluations were carried out after the government received input from various parties.
"I am grateful for the various inputs. We all agree that the Movement Organization Program is a collective movement of the community to advance national education," explained Nadiem.
The Ministry of Education and Culture will also increasingly involve the roles of organizations that have been involved in efforts to improve the quality of Indonesian education.
"Without the active role of an organization with a long history of struggle, our educational attainment would not have reached this point. For this reason, it is an honor for us to be able to discuss and get support from various parties for the success of the Mobilizing Organization Program," he said.
The further evaluation process that is being prepared regarding POP management is designed to include tighter verification of the credibility of the program participating organizations which includes paying attention to the integrity track record of the organization, coordinating security and safety of program implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic, and implementing the process. overall audit of the processes that have been carried out.
"Everything is based on the spirit so that the initial vision of POP will be protected in a sustainable manner," he said.
The driving organization, according to the Minister of Education and Culture, also does not need to worry about further evaluation and improvement of this program.
"We thank you for your patience and dedication in following the whole process, and even more so for all of its contributions to Indonesia's education so far. The government will continue to pursue the principle of mutual cooperation in implementing various programs and achieving our common goals," said Nadiem.
The Mobilizing Organization program is designed so that the Ministry of Education and Culture can learn from the best community-driven learning innovations. Kemendikbud provides support to enlarge the scale of the movement so that it can be used more widely.
Currently 4,464 organizations have registered in the POP program and then have followed the proposal evaluation process which consists of administrative selection, substance, and verification. This program will later focus on various efforts to develop literacy, numeracy and character in 34 provinces throughout Indonesia.
The Mobilizing Organization program was launched as part of the Fourth Episode Merdeka Belajar policy on March 10, 2020. The program is designed to encourage the creation of activating schools by empowering communities through government support.
This is done by improving the quality of teachers and principals based on training models that can effectively improve the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes.
