Provincial Government Says It Won't Use APBD For Formula E, PDIP: We're Watching The Budget

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD Gembong Warsono admitted that his party will observe every discussion of the DKI budget that includes components of the implementation of Formula E.

One of the discussions currently ongoing between the DKI Provincial Government and the DKI DPRD is the draft amendment to the 2021 DKI Regional Budget.

"Later on, we will look into the 2021 Revised RAPBD, whether it appears or not, because the Formula E budget is spread across almost all SKPDs to support the implementation of the Formula E race," said Gembong when contacted, Saturday, October 16.

So far, said Gembong, the discussion of the General Policy for Budget Changes and the Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUPA-PPAS) for the 2021 DKI Revised Regional Budget has not included the Formula E budget component.

However, to further ensure that there is no budget insertion in the next discussion, PDIP will continue to examine in detail the budget ceiling proposed by the DKI Provincial Government.

"There is no provisional budget ceiling yet. But later we will see when it is entered into the revised RAPBD. If there is no KUPA, it shouldn't be in the RAPBD either. It should be like that," he said.

As is known, the DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government have officially agreed on the amount of the draft General Policy on Budget and Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) for the 2021 budget year amounting to Rp79.52 trillion.

The regional income which was originally planned at Rp72.18 trillion was adjusted to Rp64.84 trillion, the regional expenditure plan was Rp72.96 to Rp69.62 trillion so that the net regional expenditure experienced a reduction of Rp3.33 trillion or 4.58 percent.

DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria ensured that the budget for the implementation of Formula E was not included in the draft General Policy for Changes to the Budget and Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUPA-PPAS) of the APBD for the 2021 Fiscal Year.

According to Riza, the use of funds from the APBD for Formula E is only carried out in the 2019 Revised APBD and 2020 APBD.

"Formula E's budget was previously available and this year there is no budget for it. The budget for commitments and others has already been paid in the previous budget," said Riza.
