Ujung Kulon National Park Reopens Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha Holidays
JAKARTA - The Pandeglang Regency Government has allowed the Ujung Kulon National Park (TNUK) tourist destination to be reopened at a new normal time while still implementing the COVID-19 prevention health protocol. This tourist spot has been closed for several months during the pandemic.
Regent of Pandeglang, Irna Narulita, said that one of the reasons for this nature conversion-based tourist spot was opened was because the area was in the green zone of COVID-19.
"Yes, it is allowed to open. But for tourist attractions, they must still apply the health protocol. If not, there will be a summons from a group of tourism observers who feel neglected by tourists who come to Pandeglang," said Irna as quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 24.
He said the Ujung Kulon National Park (BTNUK) had simulated the opening of this tourist destination. This is so that during the Eid al-Adha holiday, this tourist spot can be enjoyed by tourists.
"BTNUK has also conducted a simulation of opening tours, so that tourists can enjoy the Iduladha holiday later," he said.
Irna asked BTNUK to make a special strategy, so that tourists visiting TNUK can feel more secure and comfortable.
"Tourists will also be able to take longer. Long of stay. Spend of money can be more if possible longer there," said Irna.
In addition, he emphasized, even though he had allowed tourist destinations in Pandeglang Regency to resume operations, this did not apply to tourist destinations that had not implemented health protocols.
"It's allowed (TNUK opens). But it can't be beaten evenly. Those who are ready, walk. Those who are not ready, don't," said Irna.
