Mayor Of Semarang Targets Second Dose Of Vaccination Completed By End Of 2021

SEMARANG - Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi is targeting the second dose of vaccination for the news of the Central Java capital city is targeted to reach 100 percent by the end of 2021.

According to Hendi—Hendrar Prihadi's nickname—the achievement of vaccination for the second dose is only 80 percent of the target of 1.3 million local residents who must be vaccinated.

For the first dose, he said, it has now reached 105 percent.

"We will still pursue it until the end of the year so that the second dose can reach 100 percent," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 15.

According to him, the acceleration of vaccination will still be carried out even though the number of COVID-19 cases is currently sloping. Hendi also expressed his gratitude for the support of various parties in accelerating the vaccination program.

The Mayor of Semarang hopes that the acceleration of vaccination can touch all levels of society.

The Semarang City Government received 1,400 doses of mutual assistance vaccine from AXA Mandiri Finance. He hopes that this vaccine assistance can help accelerate vaccination in the area.
