KPK Names ASN Akbar Tandaniria Mangkunegara Suspect For Project Corruption In North Lampung
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named a state civil servant (ASN) named Akbar Tandarina Mangkunegara as suspects for allegedly receiving gratuities in the North Lampung Regency Government. Akbar was immediately arrested.
Akbar is a representative or representation of the former Regent of North Lampung, Agung Ilmu Mangkunegara for the period 2014 to 2019 who had already been named a suspect.
"We convey information regarding the announcement and detention of ATMN suspects, ASN in alleged corruption crimes related to the alleged receipt of gratuities in the North Lampung Regency Government from 2015 to 2019," said Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto in a press conference broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube, Friday, October 15.
This determination was made after the KPK collected information from a number of witnesses at the Mangkunegara Supreme Court trial. From this information, an investigation was carried out and sufficient preliminary evidence was found before raising his status to investigation since last April.
In this case, Akbar, who is the younger brother of Agung Sains Mangkunegara, actually played an active role in determining the entrepreneurs who were entitled to projects at the North Lampung PUPR Service. He did this from 2015 to 2019.
"In each of the projects referred to, the ATMN suspect, assisted by Syahbudin (Head of the PUPR Office of North Lampung Regency), Taufik Hidayat, Desyadi, and Gunaidho Utama, as ordered by Agung Sains Mangkunegara, collected money or fees for projects in North Lampung," said Karyoto.
The realization of the project fee was given directly or through intermediaries, namely Syahbuddin, Raden Syahril, Taufik Hidayat, and other parties. After being accepted by Akbar as a representative, the money was then passed on to Agung.
Akbar together with Agung, Raden Syahril, Syahbuddin, and Taufik Hidayat are suspected of receiving up to Rp. 100.2 billion from a number of businessmen who received projects at the PUPR Office of North Lampung Regency.
"In addition to managing, regulating, and depositing the receipt of a sum of money from the work package at the PUPR Service for the benefit of the Regent of Agung Sains Mangkunegara, the ATMN suspect is also suspected of enjoying around Rp. 2.3 billion for his personal interests," said Karyoto.
For his actions, Akbar is now being held at the KPK Rutan Kavling C1 and will undergo self-isolation for 14 days first to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
He is suspected of violating Article 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1 ) 1st of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.
