666 Heirs In Mataram Receive Death Compensation Of Rp500 Thousand

JAKARTA - The Social Service of Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province disbursed death compensation to 666 heirs amounting to Rp. 500 thousand per family.

Head of the Mataram City Social Service (Dinsos) Baiq Asnayati in Mataram, Friday, October 15, said that the disbursement of death compensation for the 666 heirs is the first phase of disbursement in 2021, which will be disbursed in stages starting in September.

"This year's death benefit disbursement is indeed late due to a change in administrative regulations, which previously used the Simda application to become SIPD (Regional Government Information System)," he said, quoted from Antara.

The plan is that after the disbursement of the death compensation for the 666 heirs, the disbursement of the next proposal can be faster.

"If the data and requirements for receiving death compensation are sufficient, we just have to process it. The 2021 death benefit budget is IDR 800 million," he said.

He said the death compensation was condolence money from the Mataram City Government to the heirs of the citizens who died. This means that every citizen of Mataram City who dies is entitled to death compensation.

The death compensation program in Mataram City has been running for about 10 years and is disbursed through the People's Welfare Section of the Mataram City Regional Secretariat. However, starting in 2020, the disbursement will be transferred to the Social Service.

The requirements for disbursement of death compensation are still the same as in previous years, namely submitting a death certificate, identity card, and family card (KK).

"Death compensation is given to all residents of Mataram City who died, whether they were rich or poor and whatever their religion. As long as the heirs report or apply for disbursement conditions, we will process it," he said.

After the disbursement of 666 death benefits, Asnayati added, now there are more proposals from the heirs of around 30-50 people who are being processed for the submission of the Mataram Mayor's Decree, as the basis for submitting the disbursement of the budget at the Regional Finance Agency (BKD).

With the current SIPD system, heirs cannot immediately get death compensation assistance like in previous years.

"In the past, as soon as there was an application from the heirs, it could be directly processed and disbursed. Now with SIPD, we collect it then submit it first and after it is liquidated, then we will contact the heirs," he said.
