TikTok Prepares IDR 2.9 Trillion For Content Creator Salaries

JAKARTA - TikTok's creative video application appreciates every content that users have created. TikTok has even prepared around 200 million US dollars (US) or the equivalent of Rp. 2.9 trillion to pay for creator content on its platform.

Launching from Slashgear, through the TikTok Creator Fund, the company wants to support the creativity that content creators have created to earn extra money. This means that TikTok will follow in the footsteps of YouTube, which has already paid for every video content shared on its platform.

"Through the TikTok Creator Fund, our creators will be able to earn additional income that reflects the time, attention and dedication they put into connecting creatively with audiences inspired by their ideas," wrote TikTok General Manager Vanessa Papas in a blog post. , Friday, July 24.

It is planned that this monetization program will begin distribution at the end of 2020. To get a salary from TikTok, users must be 18 years of age and over and consistent in uploading creative content to its platform according to existing community guidelines.

Unfortunately, this program only applies to TikTok users in the US. There is no other information yet, whether other countries will also be involved in the program.

Including what conditions must be met by creators to get a salary, for example the number of followers or video content that has been uploaded to TikTok. Likewise, the nominal amount that TikTok will give for every creative video uploaded to its platform.
