Ester Loses In The Quarter-Final Decisive Match, Indonesia Gets Out Of Uber Cup

JAKARTA - Single player Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo failed to contribute points for the Red and White squad. Indonesia was also eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Uber Cup with a 2-3 defeat.

Ester, who is only 16 years old, lost to Phittayaporn Chaiwan 23-25, 8-21 in the last match at Ceres Arena, Aarhus Denmark, Friday morning WIB.

Launching Antara, Ester was able to match Phittayaporn's game in the first game even three times reaching game points 21-20, 22-21, and 23-22, but her failed return turned things around for the Thai players who managed to win the first game 25-23.

The defeat of Putri Kusuma Wardani in the women's singles by Busanan Ongbamrungphan 9-21, 21-23 left Indonesia behind again 1-2.

However, in the women's doubles, Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Ribka Sugiarto again equalized to 2-2 by defeating the Thai pair Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-19, 15-21, 21-15.
