BNN Seizes 26 Kg Of Cannabis From The North Coast Of Karawang

KARAWANG - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Karawang Regency, West Java, confiscated two sacks containing 26 kilograms of marijuana during a raid in the northern coastal area of Karawang.

The head of the West Java Province BNN, Brigadier General Benny Gunawan, said that the disclosure of the marijuana-type narcotics case began with the efforts of the Karawang BNNK Eradication Team to map the narcotics distribution network in the Cibuaya District.

He said that at that time BNN Karawang did the mapping because the area was a coastal area that was prone to drug trafficking. As is known, 80 percent of drug trafficking is by sea.

"When the disclosure was made, evidence was found of marijuana types weighing 26,085.86 grams or 26 kilograms more than a rented house," he said.

Two cell phones, which are suspected to belong to the perpetrators, were also secured at the location.

"After that, we immediately conducted an investigation to hunt down the perpetrators, and the location of their hiding was known, but when the team was about to make an arrest, the perpetrator was no longer at the location," said Benny.

He said that his party already had the identity of the drug dealers. Among them were the initials AN, JN and RB. The three of them are now on the wanted list (DPO) and now they are still pursuing them.

Meanwhile, evidence of marijuana, weighing 26 kilograms, was destroyed on Thursday at the Plaza Pemkab Karawang.

The destruction is done by burning through the 'incinerator boilers' machine.

The destruction of cannabis evidence was witnessed directly by the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of West Java Province Brigadier General Benny Gunawan, Head of BNNK Dea Rhinofa, Deputy Regent of Karawang Aep Syaepuloh, Head of Karawang District Attorney Martha Parulina Berliana, as well as a number of community organizations and religious leaders in Karawang. .
