Ex Kacab Bank Mandiri Burns Account Book Of Entrepreneur Yusuf Tyos' Wife After OTT Nurdin Abdullah
MAKASSAR - Former Head of Bank Mandiri Panakkukang Makassar Branch, Muh Ardi, admitted to burning Meikewati's account book after learning of the OTT for the inactive South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah by the KPK on February 27, 2021.
"I was surprised because there was no connection (OTT Nurdin Abdullah)," said Muh Ardi in response to a question by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Muh Asri who asked the reason for the burning of the account book when he was a witness at the Makassar Corruption Court, as reported by Antara. , Thursday, October 14th.
Ardi before the panel of judges chaired by Ibrahim Palino accompanied by Yusuf Karim and Didit admitted that the account book in Meikewati's name belonged to the wife of a businessman Yusuf Tyos.
He revealed that the initial opening of the account occurred on February 27, 2021. The witness said that at that time the Governor of South Sulawesi, Nurdin Abdullah, asked him to come to his office and told him to meet a businessman, Yusuf Tyos.
To the witness, Nurdin Abdullah asked to facilitate Yusuf Tyos in opening a new account.
"After hearing the governor's request, I made an appointment with Mr. Yusuf Tyos and agreed to meet at his office on Jalan Veteran. Incidentally at that time there was his wife named Meikewati. Meike's mother said I was the only one who opened the account," he said, imitating Meikewati's statement.
Ardi agreed to request and verify Meikewati's data and a few hours later the account book and automated teller machine (ATM) card were completed.
The witness also said that the account book without a balance could be collected at his office, but Meike replied that the ATM card should be handed over to Nurdin Abdullah.
"After I finished, I said please take the account book and the ATM. But Mrs. Meike said no, the ATM was given to Mr. Nurdin. I am also confused about the name of another account, the ATM is also held by someone else," he said.
Ardi who was confused then came to the office in the afternoon or on February 24. At his office, Ardi only met Syamsul Bahri's aide and left the account book and ATM.
Syamsul Bahri who received the ATM card then handed Ardi Rp3.5 billion and asked him to fill Meikewati's account.
"The next day, he was called back to the rujab (house of office) and given another Rp1.1 billion to be filled back into Meike's account," he explained.
Ardi before the panel of judges also admitted that Meikewati's account book was on top of her car and she only found out on March 23, 2021.
"It was March 2021, I checked and it turned out that the money had been transferred to another account. I burned the account book because the rule is that there should be no double account books. For the transfer, it must go through the account book, while I hold the book. That's why I burned it because of the account book. can't be doubled," he said.
KPK Public Prosecutor Asri Irwan admitted that the Rp4.6 billion balance was odd. Because the books belonging to Meikewati's account are held by someone else.
"Meikewati then transferred the book to another account. But it was transferred post-OTT. What happened and why was it transferred," explained Asri.
