Coming To Banyuwangi With The National Police Chief And KSAL, TNI Commander Reminds Citizens To Stay Alert Even Though COVID-19 Cases Are Declining

JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto reminded the public to remain vigilant as the trend of COVID-19 cases in the country declined.

"Currently that the trend of COVID-19 cases has gone down, we should be grateful, but I remind you that we must remain vigilant. Thankful but vigilant, what is the alert in accordance with what the President has always said, we must always implement health protocols by wearing masks, " said the TNI Commander when reviewing the vaccination attack at the Nahdlatul Ulama Hospital (RSNU) Mangir, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 14.

According to him, the use of masks is the most important key in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

"Masks can protect us from being exposed to COVID-19, so the trend of cases has dropped but we are required to continue to use masks," said Marshal Hadi.

The TNI commander also reminded the entire community to carry out the first and second vaccines, but always wear masks, so that the current trend is at its best will continue to be suppressed to the lowest number.

The arrival of the TNI Commander with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono was welcomed by Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani Azwar Anas and PCNU Chair Mohammad Ali Makki Zaini.

A total of 17,000 doses of vaccine that are targeted to be given to the community are spread across 45 health facility points in Banyuwangi, one of which is at RSNU Mangir which has successfully vaccinated 1,600 people by involving 573 combined vaccinators of the TNI-Polri and the Health Office.

The TNI Commander, National Police Chief and KSAL held a virtual "teleconference" with several Heads of Public Health Centers in Banyuwangi Regency.

The TNI Commander hopes that the vaccination targets for both the first and second doses must be on target, so that of course, economic recovery will follow.

Marshal Hadi thanked and felt proud of the people of Banyuwangi Regency because their enthusiasm for participating in vaccine activities was extraordinary.

"The most important implementation is the synergy between the central government, the TNI-Polri, and the Health Office as well as regional volunteers. I am sure that with the spirit of togetherness, the targets that we will achieve will certainly be as expected," said the TNI Commander.

After reviewing the Vaccination Raid, the TNI Commander, National Police Chief and Kasal provided social assistance to Banyuwangi residents who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
