1 Million Hard Drug Pills Secured From A Production House In Bandung
JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police's Drug Detective Directorate has arrested a person in connection with a suspected drug trafficking case. The four people are Sarman, Kholik, Rahmat, and Tanto.
From the results of the search, investigators succeeded in confiscating 1.050 million pills that were suspected of being a hard drug of the type "trihexyphenidyl" (trihexyphenidyl). The prohibited items were obtained from the production house in the Kopo Permai Complex, Dayeuhkolot District, Bandung Regency.
"Based on information from Sarman, we visited the scene of the crime here, and it was found that there was a large tablet printing machine that could produce up to 200 thousand dangerous tablet pills a day," said the Director of the West Java Police Drug Research, Kombes Pol Rudi Ahmad Sudrajat. He explained that the perpetrators made the drug in a room in the rented house. The room is equipped with silencers on all sides of the walls to eliminate suspicions from the surrounding community.
Apart from the pills, the police also confiscated 44 sacks of powders suspected of containing chemicals and 7.9 kilograms of the main ingredient "trihexyphenidyl".
According to Rudi, the pills were thought to be distributed to Jakarta and Surabaya using an expedition service located at Jalan Terusan Buah Batu, Bandung City.
He explained that the case began with an investigation by the National Narcotics Agency together with the West Java Regional Police to arresting Sarman at the location of the expedition service.
Sarman's arrest was developed to find the other suspect and the two places where the drug was produced. Apart from Bandung Regency, one other place is located on Jalan Melong, Cimahi City.
The production site in Cimahi City is allegedly used by the suspect Tanto to mix raw materials and also to produce pills. From that place, the police also confiscated a number of printing machines.
"Another suspect who made the concoction was named Tanto, graduated from elementary school, he admitted that he got expertise from someone who had died, his name was Udin," he said.
For their actions, they are charged with Article 196 and Article 197 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health concerning the production and distribution of illegal drugs, as well as Article 55 Paragraph 1 and Article 56 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 15 years in prison and a fine.
