Acehnese Celebrity Cut Bul Sentenced To 22 Days In Prison For Hit By Motorbike To Death
BANDA ACEH - Acehnese celebrity Cut Wahyuni Rosita or better known as Cut Bul was sentenced to 22 days in prison due to a traffic accident (accident) in Banda Aceh.
Public Relations of the Banda Aceh District Court (PN) Sadri said that the defendant Cut Bul was proven guilty of driving a motor vehicle, resulting in a traffic accident that resulted in the death of another person.
"The sentence was 22 days in prison, he was found guilty, and his guilt was not intentional, but only due to negligence," said Sadri, quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 14.
However, said Sadri, Cut Bul was no longer in prison because previously he had been under house arrest for around 70 days, and the verdict was right on the last day of his detention.
"So the decision against Cut Bul fits his prison term. So now he's free, he's not going to (jail) anymore," he said.
Sadri added that Cut Bul was also not charged with paying a fine, this was because the person concerned had made peace with the victim, the mistake had been forgiven by the victim's family.
"As for evidence, both belonging to the victim and to Cut Bul, this has been returned as well," said Sadri.
The accident involving Cut Bul occurred on October 16, 2020, on Jalan T Nyak Arief Gampong (village) Lampriet Kuta Alam, Banda Aceh City.
The accident involved a Honda Civic driven by Cut Bul, and a Yamaha Xeon motorcycle driven by the victim named Laila Henita, and carrying her five-year-old son. Victim Laila Henita died, and her child survived.
