PSSI Implements Zoning In Stadiums When League 1 Resumes
JAKARTA - Continuation of the League 1 competition will begin in early October. Health protocols will be strictly enforced to prevent the spread of COVID-19. A number of rules have been established by the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) to ensure the safety of players and team officials.
PSSI has determined that the competition is centered on the island of Java. In addition, the match will be held without spectators. Not only that, PSSI also limited people present at the stadium.
PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan said that only 272 people were allowed at the stadium and a swab test was carried out. The placement is still divided. Everything is in accordance with the direction of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.
"People in the field are divided into zones 1,2 and 3," said the man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule when inaugurating the training ground in Bandung, Thursday, July 23.
The PSSI Ketum again appealed to supporters not to come to the stadium. It is feared that the presence of supporters will overwhelm the organizing committee because it is difficult to control the implementation of health protocols.
He also asked supporters not to hold a movie together which could cause a crowd. This is solely for the sake of the continuation of the League 1 competition.
"We advise supporters to support via television or live streaming," he said.
