Lucas Hernandez Threatened To Jail 6 Months

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich and France defender Lucas Hernandez could face up to six months in prison for violating a detention order in 2017.

Hernandez, 25, was arrested in February 2017 after getting into an argument with his girlfriend Amelia Ossa on a street in Madrid.

Ossa had to be hospitalized for minor injuries. While Hernadez snared three types of punishment; community service for 31 hours, paying a fine and a ban on meeting for six months.

However, a few months later, the pair went on vacation together, which resulted in Hernandez being detained at Madrid airport upon their return.

Therefore, in December 2019, Hernandez who at the time of the incident was an Atletico Madrid player was sentenced to six months in prison by the Madrid court.

As this was not his first offense, the court was unable to change his sentence, meaning Hernandez must now serve his sentence in prison.

He has now received a summons to appear in court on October 19 and will then be given 10 days to voluntarily report to prison.

The footballer who was signed by Bayern Munich for a value of 80 million euros in the summer of 2019 intends to appeal the sentence.
