Kasminto's Grandfather Becomes A Suspect In Stabbing When He Catches A Thief In A Fish Pond, The Police Promise To Thoroughly Investigate The Theft Case
DEMAK - Demak Police Chief AKBP Budi Adhy Buono clarified the viral status of the suspect Kasminto's grandfather who defended himself when he caught a thief in the fish pond he was guarding. Kasminto is suspected of slashing a thief who visited the fish pond.
“The incident began on September 7, when residents found a young man on the side of the road. The young man suffered stab wounds to his left arm and right neck," said the Demak Police Chief, quoted from the Demak Police Public Relations statement, Thursday, October 14.
After the stabbing victim was taken to the puskesmas, the residents reported the incident to the Demak Police Station. The investigation was carried out after the victim's condition improved through interviews with the victim and a number of witnesses.
The police also picked up Kasminto's grandfather and brought him to the Demak Police Station for questioning.
"The case was officially reported by the victim on September 8, 2021. So it is true that the Demak Police Department handled the abuse case and it has now been transferred to the prosecutor's office," said the Police Chief.
Currently, the case of abuse that ensnared Kasminto's grandfather has completed the case file (P-21) and has been transferred to the prosecutor's office.
Meanwhile, according to the Demak Police Chief, the case of fishing theft was reported by the land owner on behalf of Suhadak Bin (late) Subadi on October 11. The case is currently being handled by the Demak Police Satreskrim.
“Now the theft case has been handled by the Demak Police Satreskrim. Next, we will carry out investigation steps so that it becomes clear what the perpetrators did," said the Police Chief.
The Police Chief emphasized that the handling of the two cases had been carried out professionally and procedurally by the Demak Police.
Meanwhile, according to Kasminto's attorney from LBH Demak Raya, Hariyanto the thief was caught while taking fish in a pond guarded by Kasminto, on September 7, 2021. At that time, the perpetrator attacked Kasminto with a fish stun device. The 74-year-old grandfather also defended himself by taking a trench and slashing it at the perpetrator's neck and shoulders.
Initially, this man who lived alone intended to reprimand the thief in a kind way. However, the thief did not accept and attacked Kasminto using the fish stun device he had brought.
