Making The Party Not Easy, PKP 'Heads The Red Carpet' For Former KPK Employees

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Justice and Unity Party (PKP) Said Salahudin welcomed the statement by the former employee who was dismissed by the KPK, Rasamala Aritonang, regarding his desire to establish a political party. According to him, eradicating corruption through political parties is the right choice.

The problem, said Said, is that establishing a new political party is not an easy matter. Because, to be able to become an election participant, a political party must first meet a myriad of requirements in order to obtain legal entity status from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. by the General Elections Commission (KPU).

"Well, all these processes cannot be carried out quickly. It will drain too much energy. In fact, the agenda for eradicating corruption cannot wait for time," said Said in his statement, Thursday, October 14.

Therefore, according to Said, former KPK employees who have a good reputation in eradicating corruption need to prepare other options. For example, joining a political party that is ready to participate in the 2024 General Election.

Said also invited Rasmala and her colleagues to join the PKP and fight together against corruption.

"If you wish, the PKP is willing to prepare a red carpet to accept the anti-riot fighters to join us. Because PKP is the Big House of the Fighters," said Said. Said ensured that the PKP's struggle agenda had similarities with former KPK employees. He said that the general chairman, Yussuf Solichien, even dared to say in front of President Jokowi that had they not violated the law, the corruptors should have just been shot dead. Especially for those who steal state money when the people are in trouble. "So, by joining the PKP, we can strengthen and accelerate the agenda of eradicating corruption with people whose true heart wants this country to be free from corrupt practices," said Said.

Said emphasized that the PKP is a political party that does not play around in its efforts to eradicate corruption. Said said.

Previously, the former Head of the Drafting of Regulations and Legal Products at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Rasamala Aritonang had the intention of forming a political party. According to Rasamala, there is an opportunity to make big changes if they can form a political party. Rasamala and 56 other anti-corruption agency employees are considered ineligible (TMS) to become State Civil Apparatus (ASN). , Wednesday, October 13.
