Anies Baswedan's Former Subordinates Undergo First Trial On Corruption In Munjul Land Acquisition
JAKARTA - The Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court will hold the first trial of the alleged corruption case in land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta. Sitting as a defendant, namely, former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles.
"Today, October 14, the inaugural trial of defendant Yoory Corneles in the alleged corruption case in land acquisition in Munjul Cipayung, East Jakarta, Fiscal Year 2019," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Thursday, October 14.
In this trial, the prosecutor at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will read out the indictment. Where, one of the contents is about the mode and process of the occurrence of the corruption.
"The trial will be held offline," said Ali.
For information, in this alleged corruption case, the KPK has named four suspects, namely the Director and Deputy Director of PT Adonara Propertindo, namely Tommy Adrian and Anja Runtuwene, former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya Yoory Corneles, and Director of PT Aldira Berkah Abadi Makmur (ABAM) Rudy Hartono. In addition, the KPK has also named PT Adonara Propertindo as a suspect in corporate corruption.
This allegation of corruption occurred when Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, which is a BUMD in the property sector, sought land in the Jakarta area to be used as a business unit or land bank. Furthermore, this regionally owned company cooperates with PT Adonara Propertindo which is also engaged in the same field.
As a result of this alleged corruption, the state is estimated to have lost up to Rp. 152.5 billion. The suspects allegedly used this money to finance their personal needs.
In this case too, Yoory is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
