JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Special Region of Yogyakarta for the Handling of COVID-19, Berty Murtiningsih, noted that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the area on Wednesday (13/10) increased by 43 people, bringing the total to 155,385 patients.
"Based on the area of domicile, the 43 positive patients were mostly from Gunung Kidul Regency, namely 24 cases, followed by Bantul Regency with nine cases, Yogyakarta City with five cases, Sleman Regency with four cases, and Kulon Progo with one case," said Berty Murtiningsih in Yogyakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, October 13.
Referring to the case history, he said, it consisted of 33 patients who were contact tracing positive cases, seven were self-checked, and three people had no information.
In addition to positive patients, Berty also recorded 88 additional recovered patients, bringing the total number of recovered COVID-19 cases in Yogyakarta to 149,388 people.
If viewed by domicile area, the 88 recovered patients consisted of one person from Yogyakarta City, 20 people from Bantul Regency, 13 people from Gunung Kidul, seven people from Kulon Progo, and 47 people from Sleman Regency.
In addition, Berty also recorded two additional deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in Yogyakarta to 5,228 people.
Based on data from referral hospitals, the total cumulative suspected COVID-19 in DIY as of Wednesday was 87,017 people, while the number of people being examined increased by 6,798, bringing the total number of people examined to 997,213 people.
The total number of special critical isolation beds available in DIY is 183 units, currently 22 units are used or a bed occupancy rate (BOR) of 12.02 percent, while the available non-critical beds are 1,473, 112 units have been used or a BOR rate of 7.60 percent. .
