Illegal Perpetrators Access BTPN Only Farmers And Builders But Earn Rp2 Billion Profit
JAKARTA - Two illegal perpetrators of access mode pretending to be employees of BTPN (National Pension Savings Bank) apparently work as farmers and builders. But they have technology and information (IT) capabilities.
"His job (one of the perpetrators) is actually the work of a farmer, but has expertise in the IT field. There is even a construction worker," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Wednesday, October 13.
Even though they work as farmers and builders, said Yusri, and only graduated from elementary school, they can master IT skills. They learn it self-taught.
"In terms of his confession, he (the perpetrator) is self-taught," said Yusri.
In this illegal access case, 14 BTPN customers became victims. Recorded losses due to the actions of the perpetrators reached Rp 2 billion.
"Of these 14 victims (losses) are around Rp. 2 billion," Yusri said.
In this case, the perpetrators are suspected of having multiple articles. Among them, Article 30 jucto Article 46 and Article 32 jucto Article 48 of the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions
