Funny, James Ennis Asks For Lakers Contract Via Twitter

JAKARTA - NBA free agent James Ennis used social media to ask the Los Angeles Lakers to sign him.

The former Orlando Magic forward was linked with a move to LA throughout the summer. He is also rumored to have worked with this team.

Ennis often likes and comments on the Lakers' Instagram posts. However, on Sunday he took it a step further by tweeting a "come-and-get-me" plea during the Lakers' game against the Phoenix Suns.

“I played on my sign defense lol,” Ennis tweeted.

In many ways, what Ennis did was a sensible move as the Lakers didn't have enough squad depth. Ennis himself seems to be very satisfied even if he is given a small role.

The Lakers have lost all four of their pre-season games and Ennis feels he can help solve that problem.

His three-point shooting average last season was 43.3 percent. This shows that he can be a practical 3-and-D role-playing player.
