BNN Bali Arrests Student From Lampung, Owner Of 1 Kg Of Sabu
DENPASAR - The Bali Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) team arrested a student named Medi Sanjaya alias Kimo (21) who owned 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine. This 7th semester student comes from Ganjar Asri Village, West Metro District, Metro City, Lampung.
"The perpetrator was a 7th semester student, the reason being economic difficulties," said Head of the BNNP Bali Eradication Division I Putu Agus Arjaya at the BNNP Bali office, Wednesday, October 13.
The owner of this methamphetamine was arrested on Wednesday, October 6 in Renon, Denpasar, Bali. At that time, the BNN team received information that there would be a drug transaction. After arresting the perpetrator, the BNN team took him to a rented home stay. Found 1 kg of methamphetamine.
"The person concerned admitted that the narcotics in the form of methamphetamine belonged to someone who was not known by Medi and was only called by the father's nickname through cellphone communication," added Arjaya.
Based on the examination information, the perpetrator admitted that he came back looking for work. But someone offers a job to be a shabu dealer.
“The motive for going to Bali to look for work was someone calling his father's name. The next day they were ordered to distribute it," he said.
It is suspected that the methamphetamine received by the perpetrators came from the Jakarta narcotics network.
"By the time the perpetrator was caught, the methamphetamine was already there and by the time he took it in the trash he already knew it was methamphetamine. The network we detected was the Jakarta network. What is clear is that he was promised that his life would be covered when he returned home," said Arjaya.
The perpetrator was charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) or Article 112 Paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
