Now PDIP Is Aware, Lobbying Of Other DPRD Faction Members Participates In Interpellation Of Formula E In Vain
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD Gembong Warsono is starting to realize that efforts to lobby other faction members to participate in the proposed interpellation rights for Formula E have not yielded any results.
Gembong admitted that no matter how PDIP lobbied his fellow legislators from other parties, if the leadership of their faction in the DPRD didn't allow it, their lobbying would still be in vain.
"Yes, that's it. I think it's useless for us to lobby, in the end it's the decision of each party. Whether he (the member of the lobbied DPRD) will change course or not, we leave it to the leadership of each party," said Gembong when contacted , Wednesday, October 13.
Thus, PDIP will no longer try to persuade members of other factions to join in proposing the right of interpellation. Although, he claims that many people support PDIP's move.
Yes, that's right, in the end those who are lobbied must obey the leaders of their factions. Even though the people they represent want to postpone Formula E during a pandemic," said Gembong.
Even so, Gembong emphasized that his party will continue to carry out efforts to realize the Interpellation of Formula E to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
Moreover, if other factions such as Gerindra, PKS, PAN, Democrat, Nasdem, PAN, PPP-PKB want to expressly reject interpellation, Gembong asks for this to be disclosed in the plenary meeting to determine the interpellation.
"The interpellation has not ended. To end the interpellation at the plenary, not at the coffee shop. Please convey the refusal at the plenary with all the arguments they have," he explained.
Some time ago, shortly after PDIP and PSI submitted an interpellation proposal to the chairman of the DKI DPRD, the two parties took a guerilla lobby for members of other factions to join the plenary meeting.
The lobbying continues. In fact, in mid-September, Gembong admitted that PDIP received a positive response from members of another faction who were not named.
Until finally, the plenary meeting to determine the interpellation was held on September 28, 2021. In fact, there were only 32 DPRD members present, namely 25 members of the PDIP faction and 7 members of the PSI faction.
Unfortunately, the lobbying was fruitless, so the plenary meeting did not reach a quorum of 50 percent + 1 member attendance. The plenary meeting was finally postponed and will be rescheduled at a meeting of the Deliberative Body (Bamus).
