Laptop Robber In Tambora Successfully Arrested, Police Still Chasing 2 Other Perpetrators
JAKARTA - The police arrested a young man with the initials DA (20) for recklessly snatching a laptop from a motorcycle passenger in the Tambora area.
"There are three perpetrators, we have arrested the perpetrator with the initials DA while we are still pursuing the other two perpetrators," said Tambora Police Chief Kompol Faruk Rozi when confirmed, Wednesday, October 13.
The mugging incident began when the victim named Mega was picked up by his friend driving on Jalan Tanah Cereal, Pekapuran Raya, Tambora, West Jakarta, Sunday (10/10) at 13.00.
At the same time, DA was riding with two of his friends while looking for victims who could be snatched.
When he saw Mega, the perpetrator immediately approached Mega's vehicle from behind. The perpetrator immediately pulled the bag containing the laptop behind Mega.
The victim was attracted but did not fall off the motorcycle. When he looked back, Mega immediately realized that the three young men had taken his laptop.
Mega had shouted "thief" while trying to chase the perpetrators. However, these efforts did not bear fruit.
Mega immediately made a report to the police. Based on the report, the police immediately launched an investigation.
The police finally arrested DA at his home in the Tambora area. For the other two perpetrators, the police are still conducting further searches.
For his actions, DA was charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft and violence with a penalty of less than five years in prison.
