Startling! There Is No Marcus/Kevin's Name In The List Of The Indonesia Vs Taiwan Team In The Thomas Cup

JAKARTA - Indonesia will face Taiwan in the final match of Group A of the 2020 Thomas Cup, Wednesday. Surprisingly, the name of the world number one men's doubles Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is not on the list of the Red and White teams.

In the line-up released by the Indonesian team this morning, the pair nicknamed Minions were replaced by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Fajar/Rian will play Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medal winner Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin. They will appear in the second party.

So far, Indonesia's Thomas and Uber Cup team manager Eddy Prayitno has not provided further explanation regarding the 'parked' Minions from the Garuda squad against Taiwan.

The Indonesian versus Taiwan duel is scheduled to take place at Field 1 Ceres Arena, Aarhus, Denmark, at 13.30 WIB.

So far, Indonesia has collected two wins after beating Algeria 5-0 and beating Thailand 3-2. The Garuda squad topped the standings ahead of Thailand and Taiwan, which only bagged one win.

If they are able to beat Taiwan with any score, Indonesia will qualify for the 2020 Thomas Cup quarter-finals as Group A winners.
