Uber Cup Standings, Indonesia Runner-up Group A After Defeated By Japan 5-0

JAKARTA - Women's singles player Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, who appeared in the last party of the Uber Cup Group A elimination, failed to contribute points for Indonesia. The Red and White Team lost 0-5 to Japan and came out as group runners-up.

Appearing in the final match of the Indonesia-Japan meeting at Ceres Arena, Aarhus, Denmark, Tuesday night, the 16-year-old Ester lost 14-21, 7-21 to Aya Ohori in a 35-minute match.

Launching Antara, this defeat made Indonesia have to settle for being the runner-up in Group A which is inhabited by four teams including Japan, Germany and France.

Previously, Indonesia won 4-1 wins each over Germany and France. Meanwhile, Japan, before meeting Indonesia, had already beaten France 5-0 and Germany with the same score.
