COVID-19 Update As Of October 12: 1,261 New Cases, 2,130 Recovered Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 276,363 specimens were examined with the result that there were 1,261 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,229,813 people and active cases are 21,625," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, October 12.
Today's recovered cases increased by 2,130 cases, bringing the total to 4,065,425 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 47 people and a total of 142,763 people.
The province with the most new cases was in East Java with 160 cases and a total of 396,895 cases. Followed by Central Java with 151 new cases with a total of 483,389 cases. DKI Jakarta with 143 new cases and a total of 859,345 cases. Then, West Java with 127 new cases and a total of 704,012 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 339 recovered cases. Followed by South Sulawesi with an additional 170 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 165 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 157 recovered cases.
No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 42,104,849.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.73 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 396,064 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 101,362,894 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 58,405,580 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,026,722. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
