Continuing The Legal Process At Bareskrim, Moeldoko Hasn't Thought Of Reconciling With 2 ICW Researchers
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko has not thought about making peace with the two ICW researchers. The legal process will continue.
"We're reporting, because we're the ones reporting, of course, we don't have such thoughts, do we," Moeldoko's lawyer, Otto Hasibuan, told reporters, Tuesday, October 12.
Otto emphasized that the apology from the reporting party regarding rice exports will not have any effect at this time. This is because the opportunity at the initial stage has been given but has not been used.
"Yes, apologies do not erase the crime. At that time we did a subpoena, Pak Moeldoko was simple. He wanted to say that, 'if you feel you have no evidence and you feel wrong, just withdraw the statement and apologize after I'm finished, I'm sorry'. Mr. Moeldoko is good, Mr. Moeldoko is not adventurous," said Otto.
However, Otto refused to comment on peace. Moreover, the reported party has not yet been investigated.
"We'll see what happens next," said Otto.
Moeldoko previously reported Egi Primayogha and Miftah to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police. The report relates to allegations of defamation regarding allegations of rent-seeking.
The decision to report the two ICW researchers was because his patience had run out. Because, Moeldoko has given a deadline for them to explain or clarify the allegations.
But according to Moeldoko, ICW researchers have never done it. In fact, both of them are said to not show good faith.
