Thousands Of Positive COVID-19 Cases Continue To Increase, Donald Trump Has Even Forced To Open Schools
JAKARTA - The new school year for students has started in Indonesia. Even so, not all students can carry out teaching and learning activities directly in schools because of the high number of Covid-19 cases. Meanwhile, in the United States, President Donald Trump has even forced schools to reopen.
The growth in the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the US does not appear to be a barrier for Trump to force governors to open schools, even though cases in the US are increasing by 60,000 per day. He also emphasized this directive for the governors to be realized in September. He said this in early July 2020 as documented by CNN.
Not only that, through his Twitter account, Donald Trump also threatened to stop providing funds if the school was not opened. He compared this condition with Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and many other countries that are said to have reopened schools without any problems.
In Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and many other countries, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN WITH NO PROBLEMS. The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if US schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families. May cut off funding if not open!

The CDC, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention supported Donald Trump's proposal. CDC Director Robert Redfield said they encourage all schools to do whatever is necessary so that they can reopen and also prepare plans to anticipate COVID-19.
Trump's directive to open schools was later discussed by Squawk on The Street, a CNBC US news program. The event revealed that the pandemic conditions in the United States cannot be compared to the conditions in Germany, Denmark and other countries mentioned by Donald Trump. The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the country is decreasing every day. Much different from what happened in the US.
Last week, the CDC promised additional document references to establish a school reopening system. This document was supposed to have been published on Friday, July 17, but recently, a CDC spokesman said that the document would not be available until the end of July 2020.
On the other hand, the Texas Medical Association releases the risk of contracting Covid-19 based on the activities undertaken. On a scale of 1-10, learning activities at school get a score of 6 which falls into the medium risk category.
The president of the National Education Association who is also a teacher, namely Lily Eskelsen García also responded to this in a short interview with CNN US. He said teachers and parents should panic at President Donald Trump's direction.
