World Superbike Mandalika Held In November, Government Ensures Readiness To Implement Health Protocols

JAKARTA - Indonesia will hold the World Superbike (WSBK) in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on 19-21 November.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto revealed that his party as the Person in Charge of Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) outside Java-Bali has coordinated discussions on technical preparations related to the implementation of this event.

"It has been decided that the audience is 25 thousand with the condition that two doses (of the vaccine) have been fully vaccinated. In addition, the government will also accelerate vaccination for the community around the location of the event. Vaccination for communities in Central Lombok is targeted at a minimum of 50 percent for the second dose.

"As directed by the President, the TNI-Polri will be asked to accelerate so that before the implementation, 50 percent has been achieved. Then it is targeted to be at least 70 percent of the first dose in all districts on the island of Lombok," said Airlangga.

Then, there will also be the establishment of a Health Protocol Task Force for supervision at the event location, the provision of free masks, to supervision carried out by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, TNI, and POLRI.

"The Minister of Home Affairs will issue an Inmendagri related to regulations for superbike operations related to technical details," said the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

Regarding the assessment of the pandemic situation, Airlangga emphasized that currently NTB is at level 1.

"Regarding the level of assessment, in NTB it is already at level 1, while in 5 regencies/cities on Lombok Island, 3 regencies/cities are at level 2 and 2 regencies are at level 1," he concluded.

It is known, this technical preparation also applies to two other sporting events, namely the Indonesia Asia Talent Cup on November 12-14 and MotoGP next year.
