PALEMBANG - Police officers from the Palembang Besar City Resort Police, South Sumatra, revealed the cause of the death of a junior high school student whose body was found in the Musi River watershed, Monday, October 11 morning.
The junior high school student with the initials MM (15) died of illness and there were no signs of violence against the victim. This was known after conducting the crime scene (TKP) and based on the statements of a number of witnesses and the victim's parents.
"The victim's mother's statement stated that the victim was previously sick or not feeling well but she was still active until she fell into the river and was found dead," said Head of Public Relations Section of the Palembang Polrestabes Kompol Abu Dani in Palembang, as reported by Antara. According to him, the victim was recorded as a resident of Jalan Temon, Lorong Kuto Batu, RT 002/001, 27 Ilir Village, Ilir Barat II District, Palembang City.
The victim was found dead by witnesses Trimin Yamini (51) and F (16) in a tributary of the Musi River just below the Jerambah Karang Bridge on Jalan Merdeka, 26 Ilir Village, Monday at around 06.00 WIB.
"When they found the victim's body, they immediately complained to their parents. Then the family evacuated the victim to a funeral home," he added.
At the request of the victim's family, the Palembang Polrestabes identification team did not conduct a visit to the victim's body.
"The victim's family stated that there was no external or internal post-mortem for the victim," he said. Meanwhile, the victim's father Gani (57) said that his son was indeed in a sick condition that should need rest, so he personally considered this incident to be a lesson in learning. child supervision.

His party decided not to do a post-mortem on his son's body, because there was an agreement from all the families.
