For The Sake Of Returning Home, 2 Youths In Belitung Are Desperate To Steal Coral Radar-Fish Satellite Km Star Jaya

BELITUNG - The Belitung Police Resort, Bangka Belitung Islands Province managed to apprehend the perpetrators of the theft of KM's coral radar and fish satellite equipment. Star Jaya, HR (23) and S (33).

The actions of the two perpetrators occurred when the ship docked at the Tanjung Pandan Archipelago Fishery Port (PPN), Belitung, last March.

"The crew passed the information on the loss to Hasan Basri (47) as the person in charge or skipper of the ship," he said.

He said the perpetrator, HR (23) was successfully arrested while in Tanjung Binga Village on Saturday, October 9.

"The Tipidum Unit received a report from the community that the perpetrator, HR (23) was in Tanjung Binga, so the team immediately moved to Tanjung Binga to secure the perpetrator," he said.

Meanwhile, the other suspect, S (33) was successfully secured at the Tanjung Pandan Archipelago Fishery Port (PPN) after returning from fishing.

"The evidence (BB) that was successfully secured was a set of fish satellite equipment which was indeed sold by the perpetrators," he said.

He added, due to the theft the victim suffered a loss of approximately Rp. 10 million.

"The equipment was indeed sold by the perpetrators with the reason for the cost of returning to his hometown," he said.
